Chapter Four
Breeze wanted to cry. What was she doing? Thrist said it was okay but she felt bad about it. Had he liked it? Or did he just say that because he didn’t want her to feel bad? Breeze didn’t know. She also was worried about what he was going to do when he found out his family was dead. She had to tell him soon, he was almost fully recovered and she knew he was longing to see his family. His broken bones had healed fast because of her aunt's medical knowledge and his head was fine other than a slight concussion that wouldn’t stop him from doing anything normal. She decided that it was best to get it over with and walked out to the shack where Thrist was milking the cow.
“Thrist, I need to tell you something important.” Thrist looked up and smiled. He stood up and walked over to her.
“Ok, what is it? And, about the kiss…it was...well, you don’t need to apologize.” Breeze nodded and then opened her mouth to tell him about his family. But she couldn’t bring herself to do it.
“Maybe we should go somewhere else.” Breeze fumbled with her hands nervously. She turned and walked out of the shack. What is he going to do when I tell him? I don’t want this to go wrong. She took a deep breath and started talking. “Thrist, please don’t...don’t don’t react wrong when I tell you this.” She didn’t know how to tell him what she had to. Breeze closed her eyes and held back tears. “Thrist, your family is dead.”
~*~
“What? How-when-what?” Thrists mind reeled. Breeze tried to say something. “No. No don’t. Just leave me alone.” He sucked in a trembling breath and leaned on the fence. Breeze nodded and walked away. Thrist knew he shouldn’t have talked to her like that. It wasn’t her fault, she hadn’t done anything wrong. A single tear escaped from Thrist’s eye and fell down his cheek, he brushed it away quickly. I’m too old to cry. He had cried when his father had died, but that was when he was just a boy, now he was seventeen, practically an adult. Thrist started walking, he didn’t know where he was going but he just walked. He let the feelings of grief and wrath succumb him, he wandered around for hours numbly. Finally he ended up in the peaceful valley and sat down by a huge tree, his eyes grew heavy and he fell into a deep sleep.
The black void of the night sky was dark and starless. Thrist struggled to stay awake. A figure in a black cloak tries to grab him, he runs, his family is calling out to him. He needs to get to them before the cloaked figure. Now it’s a race for his family. Suddenly, it’s not just his family, it’s his town, and then Breezes family with his town and then people he doesn’t know. The crowd keeps growing and growing, they all call out to him. If he doesn’t get to them before the cloaked person or thing they will all become consumed in its darkness. The calling fades and now Thrist is falling. He is falling into the dark void of the night sky. Falling up. A hand grabs his, pulling him. Trying to help. He looks up. It’s Breeze.
“Let go!” He calls. “Save yourself! If I die then our people need someone to save them. This is what you have to do! Let go!” He is falling again. Thrist hits something solid and stands up. The cloaked figure is running. Running from him.
“Come and get me.” He laughs. Anger fills Thrist and he lunges for the cloaked figure. Only to find himself falling again.
“What? Is that the end?” Thrist cracked his eyes open. His back was aching from sleeping against the hard trunk of the tree.
“Yes Thrist, it is.” Thrist opened his eyes all the way to see a figure standing in front of him. “It ends like that because you have to determine what happens. Will you go after him? Or will you continue falling? That’s for you to find out by doing it. The cloaked figure is the Man-In-Black. He killed your family. He is going to kill our planet, unless you do something.”
“Who are you?” Thrist squinted to see the figure's face. It was too bright.
“That’s for me to know and you to find out.” Then it was gone, as fast as it had come. Thrist was left sitting on the ground wondering what it was all about. He stood up quickly, too quickly, and his head started pounding. Thrist closed his eyes and when he reopened them the world was spinning around him. Everything started to fade and he stumbled back, trying to grab hold of something to keep him upright. Suddenly, something emerged from the bushes. It caught him and the last thing Thrist saw before passing out was the grim face of a man, dressed in black.
~*~
Breeze burst into the cottage sobbing. Her aunt looked up from where she was cooking and gasped.
“Oh! Dear me Breeze, what is the matter?” She rushed over and embraced the sobbing mess.
“ Aunt Fay, I’m afraid I have ruined everything. And, and Thrist must hate me, and now he has disappeared!” Breeze sniffled, tears streaming down her face.
“Now don't be silly Breeze dear. There must be an explanation for this. Was it because you told him about his family?” Breeze nodded and wiped her face with her sleeve. “Is there anything else that might explain why he left so abruptly?” Breeze hesitated. She didn't want to tell her aunt about kissing him. So she just shook her head and blushed. “Well then, he must just be out on a walk, trying to get his poor mind wrapped around the fact that his family is dead. Now, how would you like a bowl of soup?”
Breeze's aunt smiled at her cheerfully and set a bowl of soup without waiting for a response. Then she rushed outside to do the laundry. Just then a gust of bitter cold wind blew open the window. Breeze knew at once that it was the wind that had come from the ice lands. She frowned and started to say something but didn't get to it.
The icy wind grabbed a knife off the chopping block and took shape. To Breeze's surprise, it wasn't a girl like most winds are, instead he was a dashing young man, probably in his early twenties, with ice cold sharp blue eyes and hair that looked like snow. He lunged at Breeze, the knife in his icy grip. His eyes flashed with annoyance when she dodged him and shifted into a squirrel. She scampered out of the cottage and, to her dismay, she found that everything was ablaze. Dozens of odd creatures swarmed the small piece of land on which they lived and Breeze scanned the property for her aunt. A muffled shriek came from behind the cottage and she raced over, turning back into her normal self as she went.
“There! That one. Over there. Hurry! She's getting away.” Breeze looked over her shoulder and found that some of the ugly creatures, the evil wind, and some of the trees were racing after her. She rounded the corner of the cottage and stopped short when she saw an ugly blue man, dressed in a black suit of armor holding her aunt with a nasty black dagger to her throat. Her aunt squealed her fear, not able to speak because of a gag that was probably put on her because she talked too much.
“Hand over the boy or she's dead.” The blue man growled. Breeze’s aunt squealed again.
“I-I don't know where Thrist is, if that's who you're looking for.” Breeze struggled to keep her voice steady. Another soldier came up behind the blue one and said something to him in his ear. The blue soldier nodded and smirked an evil smirk.
“Very well then. I guess I'll just have to get rid of her.” Breeze screamed and lunged at the soldier.
“Dont touch her!”
The soldiers laughed, amused by her.
“Well then rat, is there anything of value you would like to trade for this fat peasant?” Breeze cringed at the soldiers crudness. She sucked in a trembling breath. The soldier lowered the dagger.
“I will die in place of her.” She held her ground. Her aunt shook her head and squealed.
“Fine move miss. Tie her up and take care of the old lady.” Soldiers surrounded her and tied her up.
“Commander. She's a shifter. You may want to...you know.” The voice came from behind and Breeze turned to see who it was. The Ice wind stood and when he caught her looking at him he nodded and smiled slyly. Breeze opened her mouth to insult him but didn't get to say it. A sickening empact hit her head and she crumpled into a heap. Then her world turned black.

Update on my life
Hullo!
Today I'm just going to do an update on my life and things I have been doing lately.
In the past week I have watched five marvel movies. It's a lot I know, but me and my sisters are watching the full Marvel saga so we kinda...splurged. It's been really fun to re watch my favorite movies and stuff like that.
I also have worked one my story a TON and I need help with deciding on one thing. I introduce another character in chapter five and I'm trying to decide if I should put in parts with his point of view or if I should just keep it at Thrist and Breezes POV. I am leaning towards putting in his POV just because he has a very interesting back story and he will play a very important part in the story. But I'm still not sure. I'm going to make character profiles for each of the main characters so if I do add him he will get one too. I will be posting each of their profiles in later posts.
SCHOOL IS ALMOST OVER!!!!
For me I only have ONE MORE WEEK left of school! I can't wait for the school year to be over and summer to begin. We have a pretty cool summer planned, we had to cancel a lot of the fun things we had planned because of the virus, so my mom worked really hard to make our summer the best it could be. I have several backpacking trips planned with friends and family and we are hopefully going to go to the coast a lot. I LOVE to surf so if i get to go to the beach, I'm pretty much good for the summer.
Anyways I haven't really been doing anything else lately. Hopefully you enjoyed today's post!!

SECOND PART OF CHAPTER 2
~A few hours earlier~
Breeze hummed a song as she walked through the forest, the basket in her right hand was full of berries and the other hand had purple, plue, and pink flowers in it. The sky was a magnificent blue with a pink strip on the horizon. She breathed in the cents of her surroundings. As she rounded a bend a gust of wind swept her blond loose hair to the side. The wind pulled and pushed at her dress.
“Well hello there! What do you need?” The wind settled and took shape, A girl about the same age as Breeze, who was sixteen, with a long white dress that faded into nothing and her hair was silver with white strands. Her skin was pale and had a warm tent to it, making a beautiful complexion. Her eyes were almost as if they were made out of shards of diamond. They didn't have a particular color, just diamond like. She smiled and nodded at Breeze.
“Breeze, there's someone who needs our help. One of your kind, you know, actually your kind.” The wind took Breeze's hand. Breeze smiled and thought about who it could be. My kind! I wonder why he or she needs our help… the wind melted into her normal form. Breeze fell limp as the wind swept her up. She giggled, she always had loved to ride the wind. Since she was a little girl she had had a special bond with it. No one she knew had such powers. She also had the ability to turn invisible and could shape shift. She had not quite mastered her abilities, and still needed a lot of practice.
The terrain passed before her eyes. The snow capped mountains in the east and the coast in the west. Beyond the mountains Breeze knew there were rolling hills and flat valleys full of soft grass. And beyond the hills and valleys there was a great strong hold on a very large hill that overlooked the island on which Breeze lived. Then there was the ocean. And if you go far enough out the ocean will end. And there will be nothing but energy, waves and waves of energy. Then you will come upon another island, about the size of the one that she lived on. There were four islands that made up her planet. Three large and one very small. On the small one lived the royal family. And on the three larger ones is where the people of Core 3000 lived.
The king sent out three sets of lords and ladies to oversee the three larger islands. Then every year they would report back to the king and queen, unless there was an emergency of course. Breeze smiled at the thought of the geography of her planet. She loved geography and was very smart when it came to that subject. Her eyes scanned the ground as the wind came nearer to it. Finally her feet touched solid ground and the wind took shape again.
“Over here.” The wind motioned to a small patch of grass. As Breeze walked nearer, she saw that a boy, about her age, was lying there, his eyes were shut and his rist was black and blue. He looked like he had taken a few blows to the head and he was obviously not in a good state. She gasped and rushed over to him. I wonder what happened! He’s cute, other than that nasty bruise on his cheek bone.
“What happened? Do you know?” Breeze looked up at the wind and then back down at the boy.
“Actually I do,” the wind smiled her soft smile and continued, “I was minding my own business and I heard a cry. I thought I should check it out and I found them.”
“Them? What do you mean by them?” Breeze cocked her eyebrows into a confused expression.
“There were two. This boy and a girl. She was the one who bruised his wrist. She dragged him a very long way and then I decided to interfere. I think I scared her. She ran off into the woods the way she had come. I brought him here to this patch of grass. He started to come into consciencessness and he obviously was in pain so I put him down. I thought maybe you could help me help him.”
“Oh...well what do you need me to-” Breeze stopped mid sentence and gasped softly when the boy rolled over and moaned. She glanced at the wind and then looked back at the boy. His eyes were open but he looked foggy.
“M-Maggie? Wha-what's going on?” His hand flew up to the bruise on his forehead and he scrunched up his face in agony.
“No, no i'm not Maggie. Do you remember anything?” Breeze didn't want to pummel the young man with questions but she at least had to know if his head was alright.
“Breeze.” The wind was tapping Breeze ever so softly on the shoulder. Breeze turned around and looked at the wind. “Breeze, I think we should get back to your house where he, and us, are safe… Look.” The wind motioned to a patch of bushes. There was a small girl, but she looked to be about fourteen or fifteen despite her small size. She froze when she realized they had seen her. “Breeze, turn into a pegasus. Now.” There was a warning in the winds voice
“But why now?”
“Are you questioning me?”
“Well, no… Fine. Yes.”
“Just turn.”
“Okay I’m turning!” Breeze imagined the pegasus and then in an instant, she was one.
“Here,” The wind had changed into her normal form and she was holding the boy, who had slipped back into unconsciousness, In her windy grasp. She put the young man on top of Breezes back and then turned back into her being form. She jumped onto Breeze and yelled, “Go!” And they were off. The small girl down below was yelling and cursing and saying something about the Man-In-Black. Though Breeze was too far off before she could hear exactly what the girl was saying.
“So, why did we have to leave so soon?” Breeze asked the wind.
“That girl was the one who did this to Thrist.” The wind had a fearful tone in her voice.
“Thrist?” The wind smiled and nodded, pointing at the boy. The rest of the trip Breeze and the wind did not talk. The wind was thinking of things concerning nature and things like that. But Breeze was thinking about the young, handsome man that she had just helped rescue. Or kidnap. But it seemed as if the boy was not friends with the people who had hurt him. And he was handsome!
Breeze's thoughts went on and on like this for quite some time. Finally her little cottage came into view. It was on a beautiful hill with a little brook next to it and a pasture. Next to the pasture was a shack in which they kept a milking cow and the four horses and a small row boat. But Breeze has never gotten a good look at the boat because her aunt never let her. She said it belonged to her father, whom Breeze has never met, and that she must never look at it. After a few more minutes of flying, they finally landed in a small grove of trees.
“How are we going to get him inside?” Breeze wondered out loud.
“You come up with that. But before I go, you need to know something. I have sent a bird to see were he lives. And it’s completely destroyed. Everyones dead. The house was rampaged after he left. And there’s one more important thing you need to know. The Man-In-Black is after him.

Other than the book name, a already am in love with the characters in my book! in chapter two you meat a sweet girl named Breeze you can talk to spirits. She and the wind spirit are specially connected. Breeze is going to become a BIG part of the story so i'm trying to develop he character a little more. The book is going to switch from POVs (point of views) But it will all be in third person. It will go between Breeze and Thrist. Weird thoughts
I think alot when I am bored....And you know that when people are bored they come up with all sorts of things....SO! I come up with a few wacky ideas when I am bored. BUT! Before i start let me tell you something about myself. I like to come up with conspiracy theories. I don't believe them its just fun to come up with them. So with that being said, have fun reading some of my weirdest theories and ideas!!!
#1 THE CORONAVIRUS: The Coronavirus is not real, but just a big hokes to clean the planet. The whole world government is in on it. All the people that are "getting sick" are secrete agents working for a corporation like shield or something, helping the government to make it sound even more convincing.
#2 THE GIANT PORTAL UNDER THE STAGE AT SCHOOL: This more of a funny story....When we where practicing at school for a X-mas program for school, at the end we where all supposed to go and stand on the boxes that where set up to be stages and sign joy to the world. Me and my friend, who shall remain unknown, where standing behind four little preschoolers half our size, and i started to joke about how it was hallow underneath the box and who knows we could fall in at any moment, and then i was like, "WAIT!! DUUUDE!! What if there was a portal under this?! We could fall into a different world." And my friend was like, "DUDE! there are children standing right there!! Shush!! Don't scare them!!" And the little cute five year old boy standing in front of us turned around and said, "WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!!!" And me and my friend busted up laughing and the boy just stared at us. The little guy was our topic for the rest of the day..which only was like thirty minutes.
#3 NO ONE IS ACTUALLY REAL: This is a original. You and I and everyone else, except one person, are controlled by a GIANT computer. Our brains are smaller computers run by the big computer. We can only access 10% of our brains because of a safety protocol. If you deactivate that you gain full control over yourself. However, you really should not. It can lead to malfunctions and serious damage.
Hope you enjoyed reading those 😂😂😂 I can come out with some more if you liked them
enough!!
